Discovering the Dcr-SR37es Camcorder
The Sony DCR-SR37ES digital Handycam is an amazingly light camcorder which features a built-in 60GB hard disk that is capable of recording up to 45 hours of video. The hard drive makes it a snap to get at your content, delete unwanted clips and re-order the playback sequence. It it so much more simplistic than having to deal with tape recordings or disks. If you have ever recorded over some important content then you will love the safety of the hard-drive as this is no longer an issue. Content can be viewed rapidly and easily using the Face Index and the Film Roll Index Features.
You’ll love your home movies in excellent quality thanks to the 1 megapixel Advanced HAD CCD. It works by placing a microscopic lens on top of each pixel so that as much light as possible can be focused onto it. This results in the image quality being enhanced and the colour noise reduced. There’s a large, widescreen 2.7 inch touch panel LCD screen for easy scene selection and Super SteadyShot optical image stabilization to ensure clean, sharp results when you’re shooting handheld. The compact SR37 features a professional quality Carl Zeiss Vario-Tessar lens with 60x optical and up to 2000x digital-zoom, while a clever zoom microphone helps pick up the dialogue of your shooting subjects from afar.
If you are shooting with the camera in your hand, there is always a risk of camera shake spoiling your picture, even if your subject is stationary. The Sony DCRSR37ES contains a SteadyShot feature which ensures that all your shots will be shake free. This comes in super handy when you are using the zoom to film a far off shot. The camera’s sound features allow you to record in close up too by using the super smart microphone which can zero in on the sounds you require such as your subject voices.
One of the great delights of shooting film is sharing it with family and friends. It couldn’t be easier with the SR37. Burning you movies to a DVD is simple. You just nee to connect the cam to your computer with a USB 2.0 connection. If you want to share your movies on the move, or free up memory space, you can do it quickly by using the optional portable DVD burner. This attaches directly to the SR37 with a single cable.
There is some movie software included with the camera which makes it very easy for you to organise your collection of clips on your PC. It makes creating an archive simple. You can arrange them by date, by person, and search through them quickly. The camera can of course be connected directly to your TV for large screen viewing and the content can easily be burned from within the archive or uploaded to the Internet.
